2025 Fair Year Media Awards

TO: VAF Fair Members

For the 2025 Fair Year Media Awards, we have several changes, so please read the following carefully.

Each year VAF recognizes the efforts that goes into promoting your fair to the community. Judges review the items you submit under various categories and rate them based on how the ‘message’ is communicated.

You may register to participate in the 2025 Fair Year Media Awards by completing the online entry form below. Application deadline is November 1st with digital entries received by November 5th. Email digital entries to vafmediaawards@gmail.com with name of fair and category in subject area.

We are introducing a Comprehensive award that shows the overall marketing effort that the fair undertook. This replaces the ‘Theme’ category and is to be submitted online, prior to conference.

Digital entries for the following categories: Social Media, Commercial Streaming/TV, Radio and Newsletter are to be emailed by November 5th. Please be sure to state name of Fair and category in subject of email and especially the file name (ex: Isle of Wight – Radio).

In-person submissions for the following categories: Fair Program, Poster/Flyer, Promotional Items, Magazine/Newspaper Ad, Fair Scrapbooks.

Websites will be judged during fair season.

Photo Essay Boards, Premium Catalogue, Pageant Programs and Pageant Scrapbooks are now eliminated from Media Awards judging. Pageant Scrapbooks will be judged for a People’s Choice Award by conference attendees. Tickets will be available to purchase to ‘vote’ for your favorite Pageant Scrapbook. Award will be announced during the Gala.
