Miss Virginia Association of Fairs 2026

Izzy Horn

Izzy Horn, representing the Russell County Fair, was crowned Miss Virginia Association of Fairs 2026 during the 108th conference of the Virginia Association Fairs at the historic Williamsburg Lodge in January 2026. Izzy is pursuing a Bachelor of Elementary Education at the University of Virginia’s College at Wise. A resident of Grundy, Izzy is a graduate of Grundy High School where she was dually enrolled at Southwest Virginia Community College. She earned two associate degrees in Education and General Studies and served as a spokesperson for the college. She excelled in academics, cheerleading, Future Business Leaders of America competitions, and she was recognized as a Commonwealth Legacy Scholar. After graduation, she will begin her career as an educator while continuing to operate her successful small business that she launched in high school.

Izzy is a strong advocate for the importance of and need for mentoring and instilling positive traits in children through her platform, Izzy’s Impact. A published author, Izzy wrote The Power of You which she shares in elementary schools and self-confidence workshops to encourage young people to set goals for themselves and go after them with confidence, kindness, and authenticity. In addition, she started a local chapter for Stand for the Silent, and anti-bullying movement, and organized stuffed animal drives for a children’s hospital. She has accumulated over 700 hours of community service, and for her efforts, Izzy was named Outstanding Volunteer with the Ronald McDonald House Charities.

During her year of service, Izzy will travel across Virginia serving as the official ambassador for the Virginia Association of Fairs at many fairs and festivals. She will also be the spokesperson for the Miss VAF community service program, “Read to Succeed” that, in just a few years, has collected over 110,000 books. The VAF serves its members through representation, education, information, and direction which will enhance their productivity, economic viability, and administrative capability, thus enhancing the economic growth, development, and quality of life of Virginia communities.
